General Likes:
I generally like all sorts of soft and happy things. That includes found family and domestic bliss as well as horny intimacy and kink. If it comes from a place of affection and joy in each other, I'll probably love it! (For an idea of the kind of kinks I'm into, the tags on my explicit works might be helpful.) Angst is obviously welcome, given the fandom, but it should have a hopeful ending at least.

I can't think of a trope or AU I wouldn't enjoy, really.

I love making fanmixes, and I wish more people were into them. If you wanted to make me a fanmix, I'd be so delighted! Or just tell me a song that gives you fannish ideas, and I'll add it to my collection. \o/

If you felt inspired to make some kind of transformative work for one of my fanworks, that would make me very happy. Fanart for a quiet domestic moment in the Higher Education series, a mood board for Luo Fusheng and Han Chen, podfic for one of the RPF works, fic set before or after Better Days... Anything, really! Those are just some random ideas.

Fandom: Granting you a Dreamlike Life
I love Luo Fusheng with all my heart, and I wish he could have gotten a happier ending. You might have to plop him into an AU for that, because I'm not quite sure how you would salvage that ending, but if you can! By all means!

I think Tianying would have been good for him, but I'll also take any number of Bai Yu characters to give him a home. I'm partial to Han Chen after having been convinced of the ship by a dear friend, so I'd generally love to see more Hansheng in the world to make her happy too! He could also transmigrate to Dragon City and move in with Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan, I would have no problems with that.

Other things I would like (links welcome if they already exist!):

• gifs of the kabedon scene with Tian Ying after his boxing match

Fandom: Zhu Yilong & Bai Yu
I spent the early months of this year in hyperfocus mode, collecting and organizing all the high-res Z1L images I could find on Weibo and Twitter, cataloging his photoshoots and award show appearances and magazine spreads by year, etc. etc. Some photos remain unidentified, and I wonder if there's earlier stuff I might be missing.

• If you have any high-res images from his very early days (and maybe even context for them), I'd love to add them to my collection! I have a few shoots from 2015 and 2016, and his appearance at the 2017 GRT Awards, which I think was his earliest? (Baby dragon!)


• If you can provide context for any of these, that would also be awesome!

Hello, OP! Thank you so much for making this for me!!! I kind of assumed from the songs it was Weilan. ❤️💔 It's bedtime now, and I want to listen to the whole thing on a walk tomorrow, so I'm trying not to look at the lyrics yet, but oh gosh.

Take me back, back to the mountainside, under the northern lights, chasing the stars. Take me back, back to the mountainside, when we were full of life, back to the start.

Oh, this was beautiful! I listened to it a couple of times, and I honestly loved all the songs! ❤️

From my own experience, I always have a pretty clear narrative in my head once I have all the songs in order, like what the lyrics are about and what story they tell together, but then it's anyone's guess what the listeners get out of it. So I hope I'm not super off, but here's what I'm hearing:

The main POV is Shen Wei, with the first song being the baby Envoy falling in love with Kunlun. Incidentally, I was only familiar with the first two songs and the last one, and I love Silence for Shen Wei! "I've been silent for too long" and now he can finally talk to someone! (I also had some thoughts about "I found peace in your violence", but I spare you the ramble. 😅)

Then Sanctuary is Zhao Yunlan's POV, and it's both powerful and kind of soft ("you are safe with me") and it made me happy about the little bit of happiness they got to experience together in YOHE.

Then dirt nap break! Both the instrumentals were so lovely, and I'll definitely be checking out the artists for my own mixes. 👀

The next several songs, to me, are about Shen Wei meeting Zhao Yunlan in this strange world he woke up to, being so drawn to him, unable to deal with him in any rational manner. Vowing to himself to stick with him until everything makes sense (Find My Way Back) and they can be in love again, like they were before.

Missing London and Ghost complement each other: Shen Wei doing so! much! pining! ("I fell in love, and it killed me", oh no 😢) and Zhao Yunlan (after having uncovered the Hei Pao Shi secret?) responding to Shen Wei's obvious loneliness with some tenderness of his own. Offering friendship! ❤️💔 I adore the "I see the light in your chest" line. It made me think of this art.

And then! Reunion in the sparkly time void! Shen Wei waiting for Zhao Yunlan with his heart in his throat! Telling him his final secret! Finally they're on the same page! I loved the happiness and hopefulness and beauty of the last three songs. Venus is such a good song for them.

Feel free to tell me if your own narrative was different! I adored your selection of songs, in any case. Thank you very much for making this for me. 🥰

Ahhh I'm so glad you liked it! I loved hearing the narrative you got from this! It was mostly similar to what I was thinking but still a tiny bit different which I thought was interesting! The most notable difference was the first two songs for me were more ZYL POV at the very beginning where he is intrigued by SW but also very very suspicious of him. He wants to let him in but he doesn't know if he can trust this way too nice possibly alien stranger, but he wants to. And then yeah as it transitions to Sanctuary he is starting to see the hidden pieces SW is trying to hide. But then you hit the nail on the head with talking about the next three songs being really SW's feelings about meeting ZYL in this new world while still being nostalgic for the old times. And then Ghost and Find Me being ZYL POV but make it angsty after he learns the HPS secret yeah but still waiting to find out the rest of what SW is keeping from him because he is not quite there yet. And Venus concludes the time loop where they are finally on the same page after so long.

I've listened to it again now, and I can see that version of events, yes! Zhao Yunlan is pretty much immediately drawn to that weird, suspicious, beautiful man and seems to have forgotten he's ~not made for love~ or whatever. :-D
