General Likes:
-Found family! I really love team-as-family, slice of life type stories where everything may be difficult (or not!) but at least they have each other
-angst: I am awful for this and I enjoy reading angsty things, though I would like some glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel and for it not to be all doom and gloom.
-Adventures: I love case fics or adventure things where the characters work together to solve something. It doesn’t have to be anything important! Problem solving is wonderful at all levels, whether it’s something large like overtaking an empire or small like hunting for the perfect cake. Bonus for characters displaying unexpected knowledge/skills, or just being good at their jobs and their team appreciating that
-some canon divergence AUs or role reversal (although on the whole I am not a fan of college/high school AUs). I really like time travel and time loops as well as ‘for want of a nail’ type stories. Modern day AUs are a little hit or miss for me; sometimes I love them and sometimes it really takes me out of the story? I am fond of the type of modern day AUs that preserve the fantastical elements (ie, cultivation in the modern world type thing!)
-characters who don’t take care of themselves being gently bullied into sleeping/eating/resting, or just generally just looking after themselves. I am a huge fan of the ‘perfect mask much work until I collapse’ type character, especially when there are others around to take care oof them before/when they eventually collapse.
-food or creating things as a love language (platonic or romantic)
-OT3s to solve love triangles
-people appreciating other people’s competencies!
-multimedia! (meta, articles, etc). Outsider POV is also something that I love and if you feel intrigued by adding that and/or any multimedia bits please indulge yourself!
-identity porn
-wingfic, especially wingfic that looks at the practical things associated with wings/the (pseudo)biology/the social implications…
-survival stories? I don’t know how to characterise this. Kind of the ‘trapped on a desert island’ kind of thing where everyone has to work together and bring out their various specialities and intelligence to build a home. The kind of domestic slice of life type thing only with having to literally establish their own settlement type thing<
General DNWs: high school/college AUs, texting fics, characters watching the show/read the book they’re from, script format (for the entire story, in universe reasons such as they’re acting or a video is being transcribed, PWP, sibling (biological or otherwise) incest, underage, character bashing (out of universe: it doesn’t count if characters don’t like each other in canon, for example), racism, sexism, homophobia, aphobia, transphobia
Fandom: [Guardian TV series]
[Shen Wei, Zhao Yunlan, Ye Zun, Dragon City University professors and students, SID Ensemble, Outsiders. Fandom specific DNW: romantic Shen Wei/Ye Zun]
Fandom: [Guardian novel]
[Anyone!!]

Author: Amedia
Fandom: Guardian (drama)
Rating: PG-13
Characters: Chu Shuzhi, Guo Changcheng, Ye Huo
Summary: Chu Shuzhi is worn out after a battle with zombies, but it takes his friends Guo Changcheng and Ye Huo to convince him to rest.
Word Count: 674
Author's note: A brief response to Nemainofthewater's prompt "characters who don’t take care of themselves being gently bullied into sleeping/eating/resting" plus a tiny nod to "OT3s to solve love triangles" in the background (CSZ/GCC/YH).
"That was a really hard case we wrapped up yesterday, Chu-ge," Guo Changcheng marveled as he finished his report, which read like a horror movie despite his best efforts to write an objective and professional narrative. "I think you used ..." he went back and counted, "... more than three hundred meters of string before Ye Huo showed up to help."
"You keep track of that?" asked Chu Shuzhi, startled mid-yawn.
Guo Changcheng shrugged. "You never know what information will come in handy," he said. "Besides, you rescued, like, ninety people from zombies." He looked more closely at Chu Shuzhi. "Did you get any sleep last night?"
"Not enough," Chu Shuzhi admitted. "Like you said, it was a hard case." Guo Changcheng knew what that meant. Nightmares. He reached out and patted Chu Shuzhi's hand. Chu Shuzhi allowed the gentle contact, his lack of protest revealing his exhaustion even more than the dark smudges under his eyes.
"It's a quiet day, Chu-ge," said Guo Changcheng. "You could go home and rest."
"What if there's an emergency, Changcheng?" asked Chu Shuzhi. He folded his arms on his desk and laid his head down on them. "What if you and the others were in danger and I wasn't here?" He yawned again, then lifted his head briefly and looked at Guo Changcheng again. "Dumbass." He put his head back down.
Guo Changcheng reached for his phone and sent a quick text, then excused himself and went to turn in his report. He spent a few extra minutes talking with Wang Zheng, ending with a nod and a thank-you before he returned to his desk.
Just as Guo Changcheng sat down, Ye Huo walked in. "I came as soon as I got your text, Xiao Guo," he said. "How's Lao Chu?"
Guo Changcheng silently pointed to Chu Shuzhi, whose eyes were closed. Ye Huo went over and knocked loudly on the desk. Chu Shuzhi startled awake and jumped to his feet, assuming a combat position. After a long moment, he recognized Ye Huo and glared at him.
"Dude, your reflexes suck," said Ye Huo. He took up a fighting stance. "C'mon, bring it."
Chu Shuzhi shot out one hand, then stared at his palm in disbelief as nothing happened. "I'm—I'm out of string," he said, rubbing his eyes and peering at both palms.
"I thought you might be," said Ye Huo. "I was there, remember? You should listen to Changcheng and go home. You can't protect him like this." Chu Shuzhi looked only partly convinced. "Besides," Ye Huo continued, "you know he can protect himself. You're the one that taught him. He took down two dozen zombies himself yesterday."
Chu Shuzhi gave a faint smile. "He did, didn't he?" he agreed, and yawned again. Still, he remained obstinately at his desk.
Ye Huo looked at Guo Changcheng, who gave a nod and rose from his seat. They each took a position on one side of Chu Shuzhi, grabbed him by the arms, and hoisted him out of his chair.
"Hey! Chu Shuzhi protested. "I can't leave early! I haven't cleared it with anyone!"
"I already did," said Guo Changcheng. "Plus time for myself to make sure you actually go home and lie down."
Chu Shuzhi sighed, allowing Ye Huo and Guo Changcheng to support him as they left the SID.
A few steps down the sidewalk, however, Chu Shuzhi stopped suddenly. "If I sleep all day today," he said, "then I won't be able to sleep tonight, and I'll be tired again tomorrow. Have you thought of that?"
Ye Huo grinned and winked at Guo Changcheng. "Don't worry," he said. "We've got it taken care of. Changcheng and I will come back this evening and tire you out all over again."
Guo Changcheng nodded. "Oh yes, Chu-ge, no worries. You'll sleep very well tonight."
Chu Shuzhi harrumphed. "Well, all right, then," he said grumpily, and resumed walking. "I just can't win with you two, can I?"
"Nope," said Guo Changcheng. "And you wouldn't want it any other way."
