Shen Wei/Zhao Yunlan have my entire heart. Of the team members, Zhu Hong, Lao Chu and Da Qing are my favorites, and I'm a big fan of Zhao Yunlan's relationship with Da Qing and the gorgeous fealty and trust between Shen Wei and Lao Chu. This show got me good with the hurt/comfort and angst, and I love all the tropes that come with that: hidden wounds, self-denial, desperate battles where one risks everything to save the other. Self-sacrifice is my bulletproof kink, as is loyalty/devotion, but I also love domestic fluff, like the sweetness of Shen Wei cooking for Zhao Yunlan, or Zhao Yunlan finding a way to take care of Shen Wei in turn, or the team coming up with a surprise for them. If you can manage domestic fluff with hidden knives (aka the Weilan Special) I would adore it. Or some handwavy post-canon happiness: a tiny fragment of their daily lives, a snapshot of their future. Maybe something from an outside POV?

Prompts that might spark something:
A motorcycle ride, BAMF Shen Wei, BAMF Zhao Yunlan, monsters that need help, a Dixing recipe, Shen Wei gets shot with Zhao Yunlan's gun, Da Qing catches fish for Zhao Yunlan, a classification of Shen Wei's smiles, Zhao Yunlan was raised by cats, Shen Wei is forced to use his powers the wrong way, a fairytale bargain, put your own mask on first, it's about Dixing biology, the perils and delights of a team dinner, presumed dead but not really, what if snow?

You will always make me happy with any kind of visual--picspam, fanart, gifs, a vid--that focuses on Shen Wei, particularly one where he's being badass or secretly pining (which covers about 80% of the show, I know). Special love and attention for his sleeve garters, the Ass Chain, his competence in a fight, his devotion to Zhao Yunlan, that scene where he's all bloody and drags himself up his glaive hand over fist, and those goddamn eyelashes.

Fandom: Zhu Yilong

If it wasn't clear enough from the above, I am smitten with Zhu Yilong. The combination of his unearthly good looks and his amazingly nuanced acting is like catnip to me. I have saved unreasonable amounts of videos, photos, commercials and the like, yet never enough, and I joined Guardian fandom late enough that I've been catching up ever since. Spam me with pics, gifs or videos, please!

Your favorite photos in HD, or pics from the My True Friend shoots where he has a little ponytail (I die), or where he's wearing a sweater big enough to give him sweater paws, or where he interacts with animals, or where other actors say good things about him, or some rarely seen Guardian behind the scenes bits, or where he exudes restrained yearning or touch-me-not sultriness. I still haven't seen a lot of the Lost Tomb Reboot behind the scenes videos, could you rec me the best ones? Or find me a scene from one of his earlier shows where he does some gorgeous acting or masterful martial arts moves or spits blood beautifully?

Art for Other People's Fic!
I would love fanart for these beloved stories that aren't mine. I checked, and the authors all have a transformative works policy that welcomes fanart. No need to ask for permission, just credit the author and let them know (on AO3, you can post the art as a related work and they will get a notification automatically). These are stories with gorgeous, fairytale worldbuilding, and I would also welcome recs for other stories in this vein.

Cabbages and Kings by fox_of_nine_tales. I am obsessed with this amazing Lost Tomb Reboot AU with supernatural elements, where Wu Xie is a vampire (though that's not the focus of the story). It is a universe I wish I could live in, provided I was a witch or something. And the author sketched a little addendum in this comment that has me hungry for fanart.

A penny, a witch, and a dangerous deal by fkyb. A heartbreaking, wonderfully intense Guardian AU where Zhao Yunlan makes a deal to bargain for Shen Wei's return to life. I would love to see fanart for this Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan, or this Zhu Hong and the world she lives in.

Le beau au bois dormant by Xparrot. A standout Guardian fic that dials up the intensity of its angst and hurt/comfort to industrial levels, I love it so much. The hellish dream world would make for a fabulous backdrop for art, with Zhao Yunlan and (spoiler) fighting to save Shen Wei.

Follow You Everywhere by achray. Gorgeous, sexy Black Butler/Guardian fusion AU where Shen Wei is a demon butler to Zhao Yunlan.

The Dixing Lord's Virgin Captive. A Romance of Ancient Dixing, set to writing by A Gentleman of Noble Lineage. by Silvia. Less fairytale and more parody of cheesy romance, this fic is a hilarious mood-booster, and the book cover description in the summary cries out for fanart, am I right?

Ooooh, you made my day! No such thing as going overboard 🤣 I will be downloading the full size images too, I appreciate it so much that you provided them. I love that you caught such great expressions in your caps, and some of the closeups are just as good as the publicity stills in terms of lighting and those damn eyelashes, holy moly. You know I approve of the one where you can't see the ponytail but his eyes look luminous 😻 and that one publicity still where he's sort of looking back in 3/4 profile, but they're all amazing. Thanks so much!

Lost Tomb Reboot BTS

Here are some of my favourite BTS videos (all from Wenella's youtube channel, if you ever have an afternoon free and want to watch the rest) - I was aiming for ten, but in my defense, there're about a hundred of these so it was really hard to narrow it down...

interview about acting choices - not technically speaking BTS, but I always love him talking about the acting process and it's vaguely relevant

A treasure trove, eeeeeee I am very excited - this helpful guide is deeply appreciated. (At the time LTR was airing I had a very foolish notion that I shouldn't watch BTS videos because it would spoil the plot...ahem. Turns out that the plot was largely skippable, especially the flashbacks and mute village stuff, but any scene with Wu Xie in it absolutely was not, what a surprise.)

Your choices sound great, I am 100% on board with Z1L talking about acting, being swaddled in blankets, and making faces. Also arms. All the things you name are delectable, and I plan to watch and enjoy them all. 💖 Thank you!

YES I feel like you get me and my priorities, ie Huge Pics of Z1L being Unbearably Adorable until I expire of cute aggression. And that you put them in chronological order is just the icing on the cake. That early one in the red sweater I don't think I ever saw before and he looks BABIE, a great contrast to the latest pics in the brighter red (I think that's new to me too, I have catching up to do, clearly).
