Fic requests: Cultural and linguistic issues relating to Dixing, Li Qian & Shen Wei, anything to do with Zhao Xinci (Shen Xi lives!AU or canon-compliant), Lin Jing being awesome (in his own weird way), AU post-canon everybody-lives recovery (physical/emotional, etc.), team/ensemble pieces (SID, university, etc.), remix of any of my own Guardian fics (I feel very egoish asking for this, but if you think it would be fun…).
Vid request: So a while ago, after first watching Guardian, I got obsessed with imagining the Rachmaninoff Third Symphony as music for a Guardian vid, and worked out how (in my head) the whole thing would go, to be found here. No worries, I am definitely not asking for a 40-minute vid, but if, like, a two- or three-minute segment somewhere in this struck you as possible, I would be delighted.

Fic requests: Missing scenes from canon, EVEN MORE hurt/comfort for Wu Xie, Liu Sang & Bai Haotian, Huo Daofu/Bai Haotian (with or without past Huo Daofu/Wu Xie), Xiao Mei growing up and getting to know the various weird parent figures in her life better (bonding over past illness with Wu Xie, as the girls in the room with Bai Haotian, as former traumatized kids with Liu Sang, …?), post-canon Wu Erbai (with or without past Wu Erbai/Er Jing), non-tomb-related adventures (Wu Xie & architecture?), general variations on post-canon recovery of all kinds.
Vid request: For some reason A-Mei’s song 也许明天 (Maybe Tomorrow) always gives me tremendous Pingxie feels, and I would love any kind of a Pingxie vid for it (LTR-based to the greatest extent possible, but if you want to put in bits of other DMBJ shows here and there I’m good). I couldn’t find an English version of the lyrics online, so I’ve put up a scratch translation (with timestamps) here.

Pairings: Lin Nansheng/Chen Moqun, Lin Nansheng/Chen Moqun/Lan Xinjie, etc.
Fic requests: Small as this fandom is I’ve had three wonderful gift fics in it already, and I feel a little guilty asking for more, but it still feels like there’s always more to be said… . Anything set in the second Shanghai arc (episodes 18-29) in particular. Anything to do with Wang Shi’an, canon compliant or a redemption of some kind (what would trigger something like that, and what would it look like on his terms?). Missing scenes during canon, or a canon divergence that gives (some of) the characters more hope, to the extent history permits them… . Zuo Qiuming’s perspective on Lin Nansheng, (even more) hurt/comfort for Lin Nansheng, Chen Moqun lives (and possibly lives to regret it), Chen Moqun and Lan Xinjie’s shifting relationship, anything to do with languages and dialects. Silly option: Lan Xinjie gets very amiably hit on by Joseph Needham (historical person, not a Rebel character, but he absolutely would have) in Chongqing. And so on.
